The entrants in this directory are self selected, experienced and qualified. They are all are well placed both to empathise with the distinctive African, Caribbean and Asian experience and to verbalise that understanding.

They have completed at the minimum a diploma training in counselling, they are affiliated to a professional association which has a code of ethics and a complaints procedure (which means that client confidentiality and safety is very important) and are working in private practice.

The information on the database is more or less as they have submitted it. We are not responsible for the quality of service or truthfulness of the information contained here. We have asked to see evidence of qualifications, but you are expected to check out the rest as necessary.

Therapists who work with different settings are identified – those who provide therapy on an individual basis to adults and children, and those who take on couples, groups and families.
